My name is Christian Faltis, and I’ve been here for a year and a half and I’m currently in the chair position . I came here as a professor in bilingual education and I’m currently in the chair position while the the the other chair is across the campus in an administrative role within the president’s office. So I’m working with that and I also am considered to be the director of the arc of experience for our teacher education program. And so that’s what I do. I was born in California and and schooled much of my elementary years in Mexico. And so I have a sort of a sense of of of. What what it means to be bilingual and bi literate in this country, and then I went on and did my graduate work and Chicano studies and bilingual education, so I’m happy to be here and in Laredo, right across the river from from Mexico. So it’s a good place to be.
